1. What this extension does
DAF Urdu for Chrome lets you type Urdu phonetically using a Roman (English-letter) keyboard. You type Roman Urdu, press Space, and the extension converts it to Urdu script.
2. Data collection: none
The extension does not collect, store, transmit or share any personal data. Everything happens locally in your browser:
- No account or sign-in is required.
- No keystrokes leave your device.
- No analytics, trackers or third-party scripts.
- Settings (like dark mode) are stored only in your own browser.
3. Permissions explained
The extension requests the minimum permissions needed to work:
- Input/text fields: to detect where you are typing and convert Roman Urdu to Urdu script.
- Storage: to remember your on/off and appearance preferences on your device.
4. Children
The extension is safe for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
