When you report a problem, please include: your Chrome version, the capture mode (full page, visible area, or select area), the type of page, and the exact message shown, if any.

How to use

01

Open a normal website

Full Page Fetch works on normal websites. It cannot capture Chrome protected pages.

02

Pick a capture mode

Click the Full Page Fetch icon in the toolbar, then choose Select Area, Capture Full Page, or Capture Visible Area.

03

Preview, edit, save

During a full-page capture a compact progress card shows live progress. When it finishes, the screenshot opens in a new tab at 100 percent actual size, where you can edit, copy, save, download, or export a PDF.

Common issues

Nothing happens on chrome:// pages or the Chrome Web Store

Chrome does not allow any extension to capture its own protected pages. Open a normal website and try again.

File pages do not capture

For file:// pages, allow file URL access for Full Page Fetch in chrome://extensions, then reload the page.

The top of a full page looks repeated

Fixed headers are hidden after the first slice by default. You can turn this off in Settings.

Some lazy content is missing from a full page

Increase the full-page scroll delay in Settings (for example, to 800 ms) and try again.

Copy as BMP or TIFF pastes as PNG

Chrome clipboard does not accept BMP or TIFF items. Full Page Fetch copies a high-quality PNG for paste in that case. Save still gives you the exact BMP or TIFF file.

BMP or TIFF files are large

Those formats are uncompressed by design. For small files, use JPG or WebP.

The progress card does not appear

Check Settings: "Show the progress card during full-page capture" must be on. It is on by default.

Very tall pages look smaller than actual size

Very tall pages are completed within a 30000 px height and 60M pixel limit, so they may be downscaled. They are never cut off.
